Huai Opera

Huai Opera, also known as Jianghuai Opera, has a history of more than 200 years. It has been continuously developed and improved in Shanghai at the end of the Qing Dynasty and the beginning of the Republic of China. It has gradually stepped onto the professional opera stage from the teahouse theater. The singing tune of Huai Opera originated from folk rap and work songs.
