Exhibition Introduction: The Grand Canal of China spans eight provinces and cities, connecting the five major water systems, including the Haihe River, Yellow River, Huaihe River, Yangtze River, and Qiantang River. It runs through the North China Plain and the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River, crossing the northern warm temperate zone, southern warm temperate zone, northern subtropical zone, and central subtropical zone. The natural ecology is diverse and the species are rich.

“Exploring Wetlands by the Canal” is mainly aimed at children, with strong participation. It presents the ecological nourishment of the canal for two thousand years in interaction and explores the mystery of canal wetlands. The “Long Canal, Lush Wetlands” section displays natural landscapes, ecological environments, wetland overviews, and animal and plant species in the areas where the canal flows through. It colorfully presents canal wetlands’ harmonious and prosperous ecological appearance.
