Charming Island, Fishing Destination

Lianyungang, which is called Haizhou in ancient times, got its name because it faces Lian Island, has Yuntai Mountain at its back, and is a harbor (in Chinese, it is called “gang”) itself. Lianyungang has a coastline of 211.587 kilometers, with 20 islands scattered on the beautiful Haizhou Bay. Nine islands, including Qinshan Island, Cheniushan Island, Dashan Island, Ping Island and Zhu Island, are positioned as tourism and entertainment destinations in Jiangsu Province. Every summer, countless sea fishing enthusiasts will crowd here to enjoy the charm of sea fishing.

Qinshan Island

Qinshan Island, which is famous for the saying “the ancient islands of Qinshan form the wonderland of the Yellow Sea”, is crowded by sea fishing enthusiasts every year. In addition to its amazing natural landscapes, it is also an ideal place for sea bass hunting. Among reefs and waves stands the fearless angler against all odds, waiting for the fish to catch the hook. Qinshan Island is not uncommon for brave sea fishermen to successfully harvest sea basses with the length of an adult’s height.

Small Islands on the Sea

The Three Islands are composed of Ping Island, Dashan Island, and Cheniushan Island, but the total area is only 0.32 square kilometers. They are about 40 to 60 kilometers away from downtown. These three islands are like three stars scattered in the sea. It is said that “marvelous views are watching the sunrise at Fusang and sightseeing at the Three Islands in Haizhou (Lianyungang)”. Therefore, it is an ideal place for enjoying the sunrise and sunset, sea fishing and birdwatching.
