Niushou Mountain Cultural Tourism Zone

Niushou Mountain is one of the four most famous scenic spots in Nanjing. It is named “Niushou” (which means Ox Horns), as two mountains in the east and west resemble the two horns of an ox. The Niushou Mountain boasts spectacular scenery and is popularly known as “Spring Niushou”. It is a famous mountain of Chinese Buddhism with a profound cultural heritage. The world’s only parietal relic of Buddha (the skull bone of Shakyamuni) is enshrined in the palace of the mountain. Adhering to the design idea of “sky mending, Buddha palace protection, doctrine practice, dual-tower introduction, temple prosperity, culture promotion”, today the Niushou Mountain Cultural Tourism Zone demonstrates new look of Niushou Mountain, new cultural realm and new artistic landscape.
