Wuxi Shanshuicheng Tourist Resort, located in the southwestern suburb of Wuxi, is a long and narrow peninsula extending from the land to the Taihu Lake. It relies on the Meiliang Lake Scenic Area and takes the twelve islets of Taihu Lake as the main body. The fresh air, beautiful scenery and green mountains make it the ” Emerald of Taihu Lake”.
The Shanshuicheng area has become one of the key development areas of Wuxi in recent years. It is only 1 km away from the Taihu Lake and has abundant natural resources.
Surrounded by mountains, there are Xuelang Mountain Ecological Landscape Garden and Longsi Ecological Garden, as well as many star-rated hotels, lake fish restaurants and shopping stores. East of it is Changguangxi National Wetland Park with nice view.
Wuxi Sunac Cultural Tourism Resort, a new large-scale commercial complex integrating marine amusement park, water park, snow park and indoor skating rink, is also one of the key projects of Shanshuicheng.
The main road in the area, Shanshui East Road, is the main thoroughfare connecting Wuxi’s major ecological and tourist attractions. You can drive to the major leisure parks of Lihu Scenic Area, such as Taihu Turtle Head Park, Sanguocheng and Shuiyucheng.
Qingyuan Road and Gaolang Road access important transportation hubs such as Wuxi Airport and Wuxi East Railway Station. The South Extension Line of Metro Line 1 is expected to open on October 1, 2019, which will narrow the distance between the area and the city center.
