Here is the historical story. It was said that there was a man named Shen Wansan in the Ming Dynasty. Because he was extremely wealthy, Zhu Yuanzhang was afraid of it and went to his home to be a guest. Shen Wansan cooked the pig feet to entertain. The whole feet was not cut. As it was forbidden to use the knife in front of the ancient emperor, so Shen Wansan had a good idea. A thin bone was taken from the hock, the meat was cut by the bone, and he was saved. Then the traditional way of eating Wansan pot-stewed pig feet was created. When Zhu Yuanzhang ate and felt that it was delicious, he asked for the name. Shen Wansan said that this is pot-stewed pig feet, hence the name was from this story.
