The beautiful scenery of the First Mountain is one of the wonders of rivers and mountains, with forests, springs, pavilions, and buildings.

Jiangsu Xuyi First Mountain National Forest Park is located in the northern part of Xuyi County, Huai ‘an City, Jiangsu Province. It is named after “First Mountain” by Mi Fu. The beautiful scenery of the First Mountain is one of the wonders of rivers and mountains, with forests, springs, pavilions, and buildings. It integrates Confucianism, Buddhism, and Taoism.

Moreover, the mountain is also a famous historical and cultural mountain. As early as the Han Dynasty, when Kong Anguo, the descendant of Confucius, was the prefect of Linhuai, he founded the “Chongsheng Academy” here, which was highly respected by scholars throughout the years.  Since the Song and Yuan Dynasties, many scholars, academicians, government officials and political figures have come and left behind a large number of steles, including works by famous artists such as Su Shi, Lu You, Yang Wanli and Mi Fu. First Mountain Inscription is a national key cultural relic protection unit.

The park’s existing buildings include: Dacheng Hall, Huaishan Hall, Cuiping Hall, Chunzhou Pavilion, Boliquan Pavilion, Minglun Hall, Moya Carved Stone Protection Gallery, etc. Its “First Mountain Inscription” has extremely high historical and artistic value. Opposite the park, there is a scenic belt along the Huai River.

In 1996, it was rated as a national forest park, in 1999, it was rated as a provincial scenic spot, and in 2010, it was rated as a national AAAA-level tourist scenic spot.
