Taihu Sanbai(means “three white” in Chinese) consists of three kinds of freshwater fish in Taihu Lake, China – White Fish, Whitebait and White Shrimp, which are signature materials of the famous local dish “Taihu Boat Cuisine” in Wujin District of Changzhou, Wuzhong District of Suzhou and Wuxi, Jiangsu.

This year, the Taihu Lake fishing period starts from September 1st. At present, the peak of fishing will be ushered in. The freshwater fish of Taihu Lake, such as White Shrimp, Whitebait and White Fish, will on sale.

As the inheritance base of Wuxi Taihu Boat Cuisine, “Henyun Restaurant” is an time-honored brand. Founded in 1934, it has a history of 85 years. It is located at No. 1 Turtle Head Park, which is 440-meter walk from Jiangnan Lanyuan.

At the back of the restaurant, there is a boat-style building named “Huxianfang”, which is specially used to promote the inheritance of Taihu boat dishes. When the tourists are sitting inside, it feels like sitting in a cabin, with the lake waves bumping. They could enjoy the taste of Taihu Lake Boat Cuisine while enjoying the scenery of Taihu Lake.
