Jiangsu Centre for the Performing Arts

Jiangsu Centre for the Performing Arts is located on the west side of the Olympic Sports Center in Hexi New Town, Jianye District, Nanjing, Jiangsu Province, with a total construction area of 270,000 square meters. It is the largest modern grand theatre in Jiangsu Province. Jiangsu Centre for the Performing Arts is also China’s second largest modern grand theatre, second only to National Centre for the Performing Arts of China. In June 2018, the Jiangsu Centre for the Performing Arts was rated as the 2017 Jiangsu Province Construction Industry New Technology Application Demonstration Project.

Jiangsu Centre for the Performing Arts is shaped like four “Water drop”,which are very beautiful.The four big water drops are the opera hall, concert hall, theater hall, and variety hall. There is a rooftop restaurant on the third floor of the main concert hall, where you can see the beautiful scenery.

The opera hall of Jiangsu Centre for the Performing Arts has 2,037 seats, mainly for opera and dance performances, which can meet the needs of the world’s top performances; The theater hall has 1,014 seats, mainly for performing traditional operas and dramas. The concert hall has 1,476 seats, mainly for large-scale vocal and instrumental performances. The Variety Hall can hold large-scale singing contests and gala parties, with a total of 2540 seats and a stage width of 24 meters, which can meet the needs of various large-scale performances such as “Cat”.
