2023-03-22

Since the Spring Festival holiday, the tourism market has been "warm" and gradually warming up. Inbound and outbound tourism has also shown a trend of recovery. In order to better improve the service quality of Jiangsu tourism to foreign tourists, on March 18th and March 19th, the Jiangsu Tourism (Yangtze River Delta) International Promotion Center launched a "Follow Intangible Cultural Heritage Tour to Nanjing" experience event, and convened representatives of major inbound trourism service providers to visit the ancient capital, Nanjing.

During the 48-hour trip, the service providers and their team visited famous scenic spots in Nanjing, such as Niushou Mountain, East Laomen, Yunjin Museum, Zhonghua Gate, City Wall Museum, Qinhuai Intangible Cultural Heritage Museum, and they deeply experienced Nanjing's intangible cultural heritage culture. Together, they discussed and learned how to "recommend" China, "recommend" Jiangsu, and "recommend" Nanjing to the world.

Inbound trourism - a window to the world

Tourism is a window that can intuitively display the coordinated development level of a country's material and spiritual civilization. The development of inbound tourism plays an important role in enhancing the soft power of national culture and the international influence of Chinese culture.

With the gradual liberalization of the domestic epidemic, many travel restrictions are slowly being lifted, and the long-dormant inbound tourism is about to restart, making tourism practitioners doubly excited. While preparing for inbound travel, how to better display the image of China as a major country has become a "thinking issue" for inbound services in major cities. From the perspective of segmentation, how do inbound service providers receive tourists of different nationalities in a more accurate way is the focus of this activity.

During this trip, major service providers conducted consultations and discussions on how to improve the product quality of "Nanjing Tour" and how to promote inbound tourism in the Yangtze River Delta through Nanjing as a window.

Nanjing: A Window City for World Civilization Exchange

As the capital of Jiangsu Province and a window for both domestic and foreign tourists, Nanjing will become one of the preferred destinations for foreign tourists after the opening of inbound tourism.

The intangible heritage of Nanjing is mostly derived from daily life and has a strong cultural heritage. It’s magnificent and lively like the Qinhuai Lantern Festival, gorgeous and peerless like Nanjing Yunjin, large and thick like the ancient city wall. The delegation experienced the charm of intangible cultural heritage folklore and the inheritance of generations of craftsmanship in Nanjing.

In ancient times, there were beautiful scenes of Jinling, such as the misty mist of Niushou Mountain, the beauty of Xianhua Rock in Zutang Mountain, and the prevailed Buddhism in Zutang Mountain. Many historical monuments were also left, such as Yuefei's Anti-Jin Fortress, Cliff Stone Carvings, Hongjue Temple Pagoda, and Zhenghe Cultural Park, attracting countless emperors, generals, and scholars to cultivate their spiritual integrity and taste tea here, leaving over 400 poems.

5. Ancient Capital Treasure - Qinhuai Intangible Cultural Heritage Museum

The exhibition hall integrates graphics and text, physical objects, audio-visual, manual work, and communication, reflecting the distinctive characteristics of "intangible cultural heritage feast, ancient capital treasure book, live experience, and multi-dimensional presentation".

"For inbound tourism business, we have formed a relatively mature model and market network, and during the Spring Festival, we have targeted market segments in advance. Nanjing will also become an important stop for us to show China to overseas tourists. We will fully prepare for the recovery of the international market after the epidemic." Ms. Jiang, head of CYTS Jiangsu International Travel Agency, introduced.

The plan for a year lies in spring. With the spring breeze of the tourism market recovery, inbound tourism in Jiangsu will resume orderly under the premise of high-quality development, and continue to tell the world a good story about China and Jiangsu. In the future, inbound service providers in the Yangtze River Delta will play an increasingly important role and play an increasingly critical role in the development of inbound tourism.
